Hip-hop? Since when has L.A. produced any sort of hip-hop...

And by the way, are there any good songs about L.A. that aren't overwhelmingly negative about he city? I suppose Randy Newman's "I Love LA" is ambiguous enough, but then there's:

"Los Angeles," X
"Straight Outta Compton," NWA
"Beverly Hills," Circle Jerks
"Aenema," Tool
"Burn Hollywood Burn," Public Enemy
"Angeles," Elliott Smith
"Going Back to Cali," Biggie
"The Great Los Angeles Flood," Woody Guthrie
"Los Angeles in Burning," Bad Religion

I guess "California Love" counts as a positive one, even though it includes NorCal too. Or maybe "Hooray for Hollywood." But that's about it.
